Chief, the only condition for an infield fly is that an infielder can make a play on the ball without above average effort.
So, by rule, they made the right call.
I wouldn't make it... But they are right by the letter of the book.
As long as you don't think it was the right call, or a good call. I'm not going to pretend to know the rule inside out.
