why would he not have another start? it's not like we have many replacements.

he hasn't been great up here.

It's SF logic...what do you expect? It's like the most freaked up kind of math out there.

SF was probably the type of kid who when things didn't go 100% his way he blew up into a tantrum. SF you got any brothers?

Correct me if I'm wrong but we still have 5 games (62.5%) left in this road trip so how in the hell could the entire road trip be ruined?
after a loss like this who the hell knows if they will recover from it. count tomorrow's game as a loss and that leaves us at 2-2 with 4 games left to play. another bland split in Pitt gives us a 4-4 road trip. that is not a success.

That is Bard's at least 2nd passed ball tonight. I don't know how in the hell they call that a wild pitch.

their definition must be different than mine. Those balls should have been easily stopped.

With this team .500 is a rousing success.

You should probably be glad that Chief isn't around, you could get the penalty box for spewing such unadulterated bullcrap.

after winning the first two we should have been striving to take 3 of 4 in both series thus giving us a great 6-2 road trip.

can't believe they blew a 4-0 lead :bang:

i don't know if martis is much better, but who knows.  i'm hoping detwiler continues to throw well down there, he has more of a future with this team than mock.

also arnesen has been lights out in AA.

If it requires more than ordinary effort, it's supposed to be scored a wild pitch but of course some score keepers vary a little. Your definition (since you hate Bard and love Nieves) would penalize the catcher for not making a great play. Would you charge Zimmerman with an error for failing to make a great play?

Mock is a AAA hero. He's got stars in his eyes...
He took one baseball, it felt good in his hands.
It didn't take long, to understand, he's an AAA hero...

a ball went right in between Bard's legs earlier in the game. that should never happen. if he had gotten down and blocked the ball like most catchers do he would have kept it in front of him with ease.

the passed ball stat is meaningless if plays like that aren't called passed balls

WAIT! But you said:

what are the odds that we beat them 3 days in a row in their park? slim to zero.

I would be stunned if the Brewers didn't win the next 2 days to gain a split to predictably end the series.

So that means we had no chance so we had no chance anyway.

a very slim chance but after leading 4-0 obviously our chances were higher. but in the end I guess we were destined to lose these last two games of the series regardless of how we arrived at losing both games.
