I read that in another thread. I never heard of that kind of move. Then, they wrote we can have him back if we like. It's as if it's a rent a player deal.
After the July trade deadline, players can be traded but must be first placed on waivers where any team can claim them. Usually, most of the 40 man roster is placed on waivers after the trade deadline. If we don't like the deal or don't want to trade the player to the team that claims him, we can pull him back off waivers and keep him.
