The rate of failing to get a hit to drive in runs is significantly high as well. I'm not a bunt lover (which you love to throw at people). I only advocate bunting under certain scenarios depending on the variables. It's case by case for me. I don't parrot something just because some geeks write articles about it.
I wasn't directing my comment to you, unless you want to assume the mantle of "defender o' the bunt" in future discussions...
I find generally if I were manager, there are a lot of situations where Riggleman or Johnson call for bunts that I would not. But hey, that's why they get paid the big bucks.
