Lannan, likely after getting wind that he was starting on Saturday, has given up 4 hits and 3 earned runs in the first inning tonight in his AAA start. :?

Good for him. Get those pesky runs, hits, and walks out of his system. Time for the 26th man to shine.

What he had, it's gone. He needs to go somewhere else and start again. Eat part of his salary if need be. He gave a lot to this club. The Nats owe him that.
Unfortunately, I don't think it's related.

I wouldn't say pwn but he has pitched decent against them over the years. But that doesn't mean crap here. If he can't get lowly AAA hitters out how will he get out Michael Bourn, Chipper Jones, etc?

you're retarded if you think they are related (for a guy that has pitched well in the majors in his career).

so harper was putting up some bad numbers in AAA, but he shouldn't have called up.

Why are we starting Lannan if we have a 5 man rotation currently?

Sounds like FP thinks the Nationals should sign Edwin Jackson to a multi-year contract

Imagine what kind of "talent" we'll get if MASN loses this whole renegotiation deal and has to slash the budget...

I'm not saying Lannan putting up bad numbers in AAA necessarily means that he'll do badly in the majors right now, but I think you know that comparing the numbers of a 19-year-old hitting prospect who didn't play many games and a twenty-seven year-old who's been pitching in the majors for years is not particularly fair.

Imagine how freaked up we can get if they keep Holliday on PBP.
