Wife and I just started watching The Killing. Like it pretty well so far.
I was strongly considering getting into that, but then I heard the finale just totally sucks balls and couldn't be bothered.
Cartoon Network brought back Cartoon Planet! Reruns old shows such as Dexter's Lab, Cow and Chicken, I am Weasel and...*drumroll* Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends!
The "sexual hijinks" come across so unnecessary and hamfisted in the show. Especially the added scenes that weren't in the books. I hate how all these serial dramas have competitions for weirdest and most screwed up sex scenes.
What happened, from what little I know of it, is they decided to turn the original Danish series - which was something like 22 60-minute episodes - into a typical American 13-episode 44-minute run, but to fit all the storyline in, they made the mystery two seasons long instead of one season. And none of the audience knew this so they expected the season one finale to solve the mystery. This is just what I read somewhere, I could be wrong. But apparently they're following the Danish original fairly closely - the website I read this info on said something like "expect more characters to start dying."
But I think I remember PA griping about it and now he's all over the season 2 premiere, so maybe the series will turn out well after all.
Also, Botswana Special ending credits.(Image removed from quote.)It was one of the US specials I think that they were all something like "Bubba Clarkson" and "Billy Bob May."
Season 2 is off to a really good start. My only complaint, so far, is that they don't have Michelle Forbes in pasties and a g-string dancing to "Girls, Girls, Girls."
For the of you who not inclined to use torrents, top gear 18 is now trickling onto amazon streaming
Current plan is for Netflix to post all of Arrested Development season 4 for streaming at the same time. Definitely taking a vacation day.http://www.avclub.com/articles/arrested-development-will-premiere-its-entire-four,72593/
