Just looked at Cincy radar. The worst cell yet moving in right now, looks like at least another 45 minutes until it passes. Game might get called the way things look, it'll be close.

Can they wait for it to pass or will it get too late?

Like I said, it'll be close. I'm thinking play can resume around 11pm. The added factor is this cell looks pretty nasty, add that rain to what they already got? Field might be in pretty bad shape. I'd say it's 50-50, depends on the umpiring crew.

Riggleman is probably doing a rain dance right now in the locker room.

Just call the game and save our bullpen for one night.

At least Leake will be out of the game if they indeed do restart it.

they'll move him to RF to keep his bat.

Well, started and now just finished the Losers on PPV. Now, will I finish Cop Out before the game resumes? It'll be close. When you can watch almost two full length features in a rain delay, the game needs to be called. If they resume this game at 11:15 as stated, they are insane. It's the Nats, we're down 5-1 already. Call the game if it's a ten minute rain delay. Nearly three hours? This is pushing it for not calling a game, not that I care since it's an away game, but the point stands.

I don't know about you but i think we can comeback and win this if the bats would wake up and start slamming the ball.

It's absolutely possible, if not likely. Three hour delays always seem to totally reverse momentum. The winning team sits around pissed off, getting out of the game. The losing team sits around raring to go. I'd say comebacks happen during long delays like this more often than not, at least from games I've been to. Point still stands that three hours is too long of a delay for fans and players. It pushes the game to end past 12am, possibly 1am. Too long, too late.

it's kind of fun when there are about 20 people left in the stadium and you can hear everyone yelling.

When does it end? When does it ever end? Yeah, there was definitely a reason to continue this game for three hours. The outcome was so unquestionable. Ugly, horrible return to the game after three hours, but Slaten is out of it at least.

I thought Pudge's brillant idea of throwing a grounder to third would have worked!!
