Ugh. See y'all tomorrow unless my rainout gets rescheduled to tomorrow night.

I blame this loss on Joel Hanrahan!

While some of us get frustrated by Kearns' failures (among others) the freaking awesome guy seems to bask in them.  :?

such a douchebag. can't wait until he acts like he won the WS when he gets the final out

LMAO. Hope you stuck around for the replay of him holding his hands to the sky. You called that one.

8 million dollars for a "hitter" on a 5 for 44 run...  :|

i wouldn't call it a run, its more like a snail's paced walk.

It's easy to act the way that K-Rod does when you don't ever have to bat.

wouldn't have mattered because our offense failed miserably in the 7th-9th innings.

9 free passes and they only score 2 freaking runs

There's no question we're going to get swept at this point... One can only hope that this horrific game (And as many LOB, it was horrid) is one of the last Acta and his bums will manage. Off-day Thursday might be the end of the line for him. If he's still here next Tuesday, we're stuck with him the entire season even if they lose 130 games. The offense clearly has gotten affected by the losing and all the talk of staying positive is the bullcrap it really is. Now that the offense is dying and the pitching is... better, but with the same pitchers that were horrible earlier, Acta's days have to be numbered. They just have to. For my sanity I hope so.

The Mets "B" team easily beats our "A" team (if you can call it an A team)

Kearns is trash, and should be kicked out the door along with Cabrera.

ya know what the funny thing is? KEARNS HAS SUCKED EVER SINCE HE PUT ON A NATIONALS UNIFORM BACK IN 2006. yet we still trot him out there. freaking infuriating!

I think we're stuck with him until the end of the season. Our outstanding ownership will see to that.

Thanks offense.

and people laughed at me when I suggested the same thing a few days ago. Like you said "the offense clearly has gotten affected by the losing and all the talk of stay positive is bullcrap".

Acta isn't going anywhere I'm afraid. The games against Santana and Hamels are automatic losses. We have a slim chance against Livo tomorrow but with Stammen on the mound who knows what is going to happen.

this isn't our A team. Dukes and Flores are our A team. put Dukes and Flores in the lineup tonight, and we win the ball game.

He is one of Acta's "boys" even though he's not Dominican.

Truthfully though, Willingham isn't a whole lot better.

Willingham has a few more bombs but their numbers are eerily similar.

Kearns: .213 BA with 27 Ks in 108 ABs
Willingham: .215 BA with 22 Ks in 93 ABs

Really? I'm pretty sure Willingham's OPS trumps Kearns by a good 60 points. It's not really even close.

Hell, Willingham has an even better OPS than Dukes.
