What an insult. I'm glad Pujols is not playing but I hope we make LaRussa play for his cocky ass arrogance.

They figure that they can rest their star and still handily beat the lowly Nats.

Earl Weaver called LaRussa a "Snot-nosed freaking punk"  in one of his more enlightened moments.

Well they can, so why not do it. It was supposed to be an off-day for them anyway so that's the reason for it I bet.

Too bad Riggleman keeps resting our guys at odd moments.  Pitcher who is tough on righties would be a good time to rest Alberto and possibly Hammer.

I'm pretty sure Gonzalez doesn't need the rest.

there's nothing to read into it. Typical move by LaRussa. Can't stand him.

The Nats will probably roll over for Wainwright but I would love if they stuck it to Tony.

Damn it's raining hard here. Insanity.

Pujols has a torn UCL, I'll give him a bit of slack on the slump.

that's game. Thanks Adam.

Wainwright has given up just 5 runs in 32.1 IP this month.

What you're feeling is false hope. Have another beer, you'll feel better. :D

Ankiel with the homer. 2-0 Cardinals. The Cards fans in attendance cheer. Sound like they make up most of the crowd.

That's really game.  We'd have to score three runs to win this game and we rarely score three runs.

and Wainwright rarely gives up more than 2.
