if Morgan had helped them score it could have been a successful move but that didn't happen.Keeping the other team scoreless in the top of the 9th was more important to me than having Morgan lead off the bottom of the 8th.

Morgan gave us a good chance to score and Lannan was pretty much a sure out. That's all that mattered. Lannan couldn't have gone more than one more inning, so we needed to score ASAP. KEARNS!!!!
This better not get him a start tomorrow, but I'm happy he made himself useful for something.
Brilliant managing by Riggleman. All the moves led up to Morgan's bunt, moved to second, and the clutch Austin Kearns coming through, all according to Jim's plan.
You know that he is going to stay on the roster just for that hit.
