I'd have to say it's pretty embarassing that we haven't managed to put any more hits on Mr. walk-o-matic Ohka yet.

Absolutely abysmal performance today.  The guys seem like they are ready to get the hell out of town.  As soon as Vidro commited the error they started loading the bus.  Terrible at bats.

As it stands right now, end of the day standings are looking like

WSH -
ATL -1.5
PHI -5.5
FLA/NYM -7.0

How the hell do you allow frickin' Ohka to single?  This has got to be one of the most embarassing games to date for us.

The Nats went through a rough slide the last time we visited Milwaukee, but then we bounced back to win 10 in a row.  We need Ohka to plunk Guillen to get our juices flowing again.

Sadly, injuries seem to have robbed Vidro of his physical attributes.  His current play reminds me of Baerga and Roberto Alomar when their respective careers suddenly took a nose-dive.

And I was laughed at and scorned when I dared to suggest the Nats trade him while he still had value... This time next year, you wont even be able to get a decent sub for him... Pawn him off, along with a middle of the road minor league on Texas for Soriano. His bat will more than make up for his glove.

It is no longer a laughing matter.  And with Guzman also showing no sign of returning to his former self, the dog days are definitely upon us.

Maybe any good luck that came from the trade with the Brewers only worked while Spivey got into games. The Nats were 16-7 (.696 win%) with him in the lineup. Maybe the Nats need to get him off the DL and use him as a pinch runner to get the mojo back. I'd rather have Junior as a PR than Wil Cordero off the bench.

Hang this loss on the 2nd baseman.  Take away that error and we are still playing.  That was a killer.  These guys better get their heads out of the asses real quick and beat up on the Rockies.

Guys, we'll have to win all the games vs the Rockies.

Because teams like the mets and phillies are also closing the gap.

A series at RFK vs. the Rockies could not have come at a better time.

This is just stupid! Why are they bringing our hopes up like this, just to be whipped by a fourth place team?
