I'll turn heel and say I still like Robinson, even though that was inexcusable. :smh: But considering so many players (especially Span) have been getting away with it for years, I don't blame him for taking a bit of leash. This team is built on the homerun and it's no wonder they often fall short.

Best walk-up music on the team.

He is not a smart player.  He also swung at the first pitch the other night after Scherzer scored on a sac fly, and popped up lazily to left to end the inning.  He should have taken at least one pitch to allow Max to get ready to go and pitch.  Instead Scherzer gave up the 3 run shot to the scrub from Toronto and we lost.  The last man on the bench has to find ways to create value and I don't see Clint doing that.

Really no idea why he is on the roster, much less getting AB's.

yes, I'd rather have den Dekker. He can't hit but at least he can play D and has some speed.

He has actually been a part of a couple clutch rallies, I seem to remember him having a part in the game where we rallied vs Miami at Nats park, I think it was the one where Bryce hit two homers after Desi tied it up? Furthermore he actually worked that walk before getting picked off, which seems remarkable to me. And he has a hit today vs Jason Hammels, something nobody else in the lineup could do except Danny Espinosa.

But yeah, the fact that he is even getting regular play time on a championship team shows how thin we've been worn down.

He's really gotta go. He has 0 HRs, is dumb, and shouldn't be starting.

Bump. Time for a 2 year/$10M extension. Just wish he could have been the final out.

Given his user name, is it surprising that he occasionally inflicts pain on others via trolling?

I for one love watching Robinson play major league baseball.  He's like Ryan Langerhans on offense and Michael Morse on defense.  It's sort of like kids' basketball games where they put the fat kid in to stand around for the second quarter because the league rules say everyone has to play a certain number of minutes and it's generally as expected, except that one time per season he throws the ball in the general direction of the basket and it goes in.  By analogy, Robinson once pinch hit a double.

I saw Robinson from the stands...no commentary to turn my thinking. He hit decently against Tanaka. Bat on the ball, fouled off pitches. Escobar, Harper, and Robinson looked like the only ones who had a chance.

Also watched Robinson turn the wrong way on a fly ball that he eventually caught. Not a great play, but he did no damage.

I wonder if Uggla could play LF? Until Span returns, maybe a platoon of Robinson and Uggla, with Desmond on the bench?

No it wasn't - it was because the HR was Robinson's first in MLB
