[quote user=ballgirl14]OK, I'm a couple days late on this, but only discovered this forum on a fluke yesterday.  This is in reply to the posts from Game 1 (the last page of the forum):
"One of the "fan of the game" candidates was in the group sitting behind me. 25-30 year old female with huge knockers. A gap-toothed kid beat her out for "fan of the game". she was hot as crap though."

Ummm, that would be me.  Thanks....you guys are funny.

Well, this inning was a fail but at least we have the heart of our order coming up soon.

Wait, it's Guzman/Willie/Dunn?

Nevermind.

Is Helton a future Hall of Famer? Career .328/.427/.565 and a solid fielder.

his Hall of Fame indicators seem to suggest that he will be borderline

Hall of Fame Indicators (average HOFer score in parenthesis):

Black Ink = 16 (27)
Grey Ink = 143 (144)
Monitor = 162 (100)
Standards = 54 (60)

btw, Livan's curveball is such an awesome pitch.  he made Tulo look silly a couple times already with it.

So not only does Jose Rijo lie about the age of prospects.... he also told people what pitch he was going to throw... basically throwing the game.

I'm not a fan.

I was thinking about that recently.  He's so borderline.  I have trouble because I'm a "small Hall" guy and there are a lot of good 1B from his era.

He should teach it to Stammen/Martin.  If either of them could combine that with their sinker, it'd be an awesome combo.

Got to be.  I know the numbers are a little Coors/mile high pumped, but three gold gloves, active leader in OBP, top 50 all time in doubles, and the kicker is that he was likely clean the whole time

side note - anyone know the active career doubles leader?

Yeah, I think he deserves it.

I can't believe he was 5th in MVP voting in 2000 when he batted .372/.463/.698 (lead league in all three categories) with 42 homers and 147 RBI (also lead the league). 5th?!

:rofl: I love how Yankee fans call Nick Johnson 'OBP Jesus'

Edit: Posted in MLB Watching, Yankees pulled off a triple play.
