Nothing so far.  Really???

Does that mean the team that gagged against the Giants was completely healthy (except for Zimmerman)?

Yea, for real. I was expecting Zimmerman and Gio to go under the knife by this point.

Span is hurt but still plays and has a career year. The rest of the team could learn something from him.

Add Werth to this list.  Shoulder surgery, 2-3 months of recovery time.

Of course. Of course. Why get it done in November when you can wait until your recovery will take up part of ST

When you're 36, these kinds of surgeries heal super quick too.  :?

Better yet, I think Espinosa needs brain surgery.  It seems he has only half a brain.

(1) Need that 4th OF. The SS they got for Sousa needs to be very very good...someday. In 2015, it does seem like the Nats start the season with Ryan Zimmerman in LF, Tyler Moore at 1B, and Werth recuperating.

(2) I'd take Frandsen's hitting over Espinosa's glove. Strikeouts are bad...worse than just an out...an out that has no chance to move a runner or press the fielders to make the perfect play. I would take Eddie Brinkman's .200 years over Espinosa's .200 years, and Brinkman was the only guy I can remember who kept a starting job even when he hit .190 (although Brinkman's worst hitting years were the years when pitchers so overwhelmed hitters that almost nobody hit .300. The dead-ball/dead-bat era)

Frandsen doesn't hit that much better than Espinosa, and fields considerably worse.

Would rather put Tyler Moore in LF. I'm fairly confident that Zim either tore his hammy or came close. Either way, it still needs time to heal and chasing balls in LF ain't the way to do it.

Putting Zimmerman in left is incredibly stupid.

He committed no errors during his short tenure there and made at least two brilliant catches, one of which was game-saving.  What's the problem?

Wear and tear on his hamstring.

This. Y'all are underestimating recovery from a hamstring injury.

And while committted no errors, he had limited range and a noodle arm.

If the hamstring were not an issue I think he'd be fine in left even  with limited range and noodle arm. His range and arm are both better than Morse, and we did fine in 2012 with him in left.

Agreed. 1B for him all season long.
