Michael O'Connor (0-0, -.--)
O'Connor, who is replacing the injured John Patterson, was the Nationals' Pitcher of the Year last season after going 10-11 with a 3.54 ERA for Class A Potomac. In 2006, he was in Triple-A New Orleans, pitching four games with a 2.41 ERA. He will be pitching against the Cardinals on three-days' rest.

Sidney Ponson (2-0, 3.31)
Ponson was shaky in his third start of the season on Saturday against Chicago. He allowed six hits and walked four batters over five innings, but only surrendered one run and gave the Cardinals a chance to win. He has only lasted five innings in two of his three starts.

Let's just hope a repeat of last year...when we got creamed by the Reds and came back and surprisingly took the series against the Cards.  Think POSITIVE!   :D

Hope the best for this Irish Laddie...but wow talk about in over his head!  He was just pitching at POTOMAC for chrissakes.  He's now going to be throwing at the most dangerous hitter of all of major league baseball.

"But no worries kid...just go out there and throw the ball like you always do" <quick slap on the backside>

Well it's not like the Cards lineup should have a pitcher quaking, everyone after Pujols is hitting .200'ish.

Being on the road, means Vidro and Guillen now have to put up or shut up because they are away from RFK. It makes me sick that two guys, who are *supposed* to be veterans are so dumb that they cant keep their mouth's shut.

You know if we took away the hits for every time Soriano got caught stealing, his average would probably be in the .250's

You know the dimensions at this new Cards box are pretty RFK'esque.  Watch Vidro and Guillen use that as their excuse after we get swept

I thought the read on the new Busch was that it was a hitter's park?

I dunno I'm just looking at Gameday.  335 and 325 down the lines, 375 in the power alleys, 390-400 to center.

Welcome to Major League Baseball Michael Patrick O'Connor

To be fair...Zimmerman screwed him with that error.
