borderline call but he should have swung. close enough.

freak we have too many guys looking for walks and not enough guys who like to drive in runs. :bang:

at least we got his pitch count up to 76 in 3 innings :?

What does "PFX" mean on gameday from MLB?

There is "SPD", "BRK" and "PFX".

What does "PFX" mean on gameday from MLB?

There is "SPD", "BRK" and "PFX".
Quote
"Break" is the greatest distance between the trajectory of the pitch at any point between the release point and the front of home plate, and the straight line path from the release point and the front of home plate.

Quote
"Pitch-f/x" is the distance between the location of the actual pitch thrown over the plate, and the calculated location of a ball thrown by the pitcher in the same way, with no spin. Or, in more common terms, this is the amount of "movement" the pitcher applies to the pitch. A faster, straighter pitch like a fastball will have a higher Pitch-f/x value than a slower, breaking ball like a curveball, which will have a higher Break value.

Balester is doing a great job of keeping the Nats in the game. Lets score some runs.

This is one of our worst situational hitting games of the year and we've had a lot of bad ones!

No team should lose a game when you have this many opportunities but you know we're going to.

can't make contact against him just like last time.

19 Ks in 12 IP against him this season (14.25 K/9)

it's going to come back to bite us. 107 pitches for Gallardo through 5. hopefully he's out of there.
