Angels and Dodgers becoming the new Yanks and Mets.  Which one will be the Yanks and which one the Mets?

I'd bet on Trout and Pujols leading the Angels to the AL West title.  What an unbelievable lineup.

Welcome.  Nats were happy the Dbacks didn't bring back LaRoche a couple of years ago.
I know LaRoche was personally upset he didn't return, but we have Kevin Towers to decline the option of a 25HR/100RBI campaign.  I enjoyed watching him play at Chase Field again this season, it was fun watching the Nats win although my dbacks cap was on.

He's a good player that's never really been able to find a long term home.  I think the Dbacks will still have a decent team next year but yeah, they've been throwing away talent it seems like.

#Cubs and Anibal Sanchez do not have a done deal as of this moment, source says. Stay tuned. Long day, long night for ball scribes.

Shocker.

Signing Anibal Sanchez to a 5-year deal is a strange move for a team supposedly committed to Nationals-style rebuilding.

Yes they did.

I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Andy and I live in Las Vegas, I've been a dbacks fan since they originated in 1998 and generally go by the username dbacks_Nation on other boards.  As you can see here, that's not the case, and the Arizona Diamondbacks front office and management is making it harder and harder to support that team as days go by.

I've been interested in the Nationals ever since they moved from Montreal, I did start following them more closely over the past 2 seasons and last year they were the most fun team in baseball to watch.  So if you guys don't mind, I may be on this board more and more.

Hi. I don't have a problem with the D-Backs, but Towers is a complete dipcrap. Welcome to the board.

If they pull it off, I suppose you could do worse than a front 3 of Sanchez, Garza, and Smardzija.

Sanchez signs with the Tigers.  5 years and 80M.  Looks like he used the Cubs to get the Tigers to pony up.

Royals Sign Xavier Nady

By Ben Nicholson-Smith [December 14 at 9:39am CST]

The Royals announced that they signed outfielder Xavier Nady to a minor league contract. The deal figures to include an invitation to Spring Training, though the Royals won't confirm their list of invitees until later in the winter.

Nady spent the 2012 season with the Nationals and Giants, appearing in 59 games at the MLB level. The 34-year-old client of the Boras Corporation posted a .184/.253/.316 batting line in 166 plate appearances while playing left and right field. However, Nady has a career batting line of .270/.324/.432 in 11 MLB seasons. A right-handed hitter, Nady has a career .284/.352/.441 line against left-handers. In that respect he resembles Royals outfielder Jeff Francoeur, who also hits lefties better than he hits righties.

CHAMPIONSHIP!

Looking like the Jays may be getting RA Dickey. Talk about an off-season.

Yeah, seriously.  They have to be the favorites now in the AL East.  Josh Johnson is a beast if they can keep him healthy.  RA Dickey and Buerhle should provide steady performance.  That's a really good top 3.

Jays have helped our cause in the NL East as well.  They are like the anti-Astros who keep trading their best players to the Braves and Phillies.

J. Reyes
M. Cabrera
J. Bautista

looking at that line-up...Bautista could have 150+ RBI's

...all on paper though.

They definitely have, but Travis d'Arnaud could end up being a beast. I'm sure Mets fans are happy to get him in that trade (if it happens).

Braves going after Trumbo per the AJC.  I'd think Bourjas would be a better fit.
