I'm glad I went out and played a game tonight.  At least I got some positive baseball mojo.

Except we had a 30 minute puking delay.

30 minutes?

Young whippernappers don't even know how to puke these days.   :old:

Oh so it is your fault

Quite possibly, sorry.  Either that or this team is not very good, one or the other :)

The dude who was puking was a 68 year-old umpire who ate a bad taco.

I dunno where he got it but it was kinda scary because we had to call 911 and get the paramedics there.  He yakked up a ton of stuff just outside our dugout between the second and third innings and we thought he was going to dehydrate.  He was fine once they set him up on an IV drip in our dugout.

It was scary at the time but looking back on it and knowing he's o.k. makes the whole thing really funny.

God, a .500 team is 18.5 games back of first in early August. That's just crazy and sick. If the Philly's can keep this up, our time of contention with Stras and Harper and Zimmerman might be moot when you've got a team getting 110-120 wins a season. And yeah, I know, the Phillies are supposedly and old and aging team. But still, god damn are they unbeatable this season.

1. "The Phillies are and [sic] old and aging team"
2. They're not on pace for 110-120 wins right now, they're on pace for 106. That's still scary, but there is a wild card spot, and the Phillies won't dominate forever.

the Braves are gonna be pretty solid over the next couple years too tho.  It's definitely gonna be a struggle in the NL east the next couple years.
