I'm not sure why he didn't try Ankiel. At least you have a puncher's chance with him.

Disappointing end to this one. Our bullpen freaked us hard.

The Futures Game should be great. Hopefully Billy Hamilton gets on base.

Guess the offense didn't freak us at all with all the missed opportunities.

15 games over.  4 game lead.  I'll take it.

And now 4 days to stew on this terrible home loss to a team 20 games under .500. You have to win this game, have to. Our bullpen guys should be ashamed. And Flores needs to spend the time off locked in a batting cage.

Why do we always so much trouble against the Rockies?

As I expect them to.  That's a talented club.

Eric Young had one homerun  before today.

Yep. And we showed our true colors today. Bullpen gagged up a hard earned lead by the offense and Jordan Zimmermann. I am not that surprised Burnett choked as he has been shaky for weeks but Clippard choking shocked me. A leadoff double to a bum and a wild pitch.

Burnett and Clippard were awful.

Moore and Flores terrible ABs in 9th.

Clippard gave up one hit.

Hardly horrible.

I agree. But it's unfair to place all the blame on one person, and or part of the team. It was a team loss.

Again Pacheco is not a bum.

No we didn't.  We've shown our true colors in how we've responded to losses like this, and we've had a couple.  They've responded well and haven't let losses like this pile up.  I don't expect that to start now.

No dude.  If its ankiel up there and he strikes out you blast him.  Flores goes up there and k's on 3 pitches.

We need a catcher.

HRod is certainly the main reason why, but we must be crushing the league in runs allowed on wild pitches.  Tough loss, but good first half.  We are right on pace for at least one poster's preseason W-L prediction=)

Leadoff double to FPs dude and wild pitch to washed up Giambi.  Horrible.
