NationalsPR: Nationals land safe/sound at Denver Airport. Now all's left is bus to hotel. 4 hot days (arid temps push 100 on Mon.) at Coors Field await!

A wildfire near Colorado Springs erupted Saturday and grew out of control to more than 3 square miles early Sunday, prompting the evacuation of more than 11,000 residents and an unknown number of tourists. Authorities said Sunday that they were allowing about 5,000 of those residents to return.

I think Denver is one of those places that can either be really HOT or cool. I remember I spent 2 weeks in Fraser, CO a few summers ago (which is about 2 hours north of Denver and upwards of 10,000 ft in elevation) but still during the day it would be upwards of 90, and at night you would need jeans and a jacket.

Prepare to wave the white flag of surrender then, cause this team would have trouble scoring runs at the Denver area little league.

Hmm a 4 gamer. We should get at least 2 of them. I'll say we win the series don't know if we'll sweep.

We do seem to play a lot of four-match series out there for some reason, and it often seems to be feast-or-famine - the results at Coors Field through the years:

2005 - W3
2006 - L4
2007 - L3
2008 - W3-L1
2009 - L3
2010 - W1-L3
2011 - W2-L2

All-time: W9-L16
