clippard should of started this inning. storen usually has been very effective for 1 inning but when he throws a 2nd it hasnt gone as well. but riggleman lately has asked him to go more then 1 often.

Yeah, I think they are challenging him to become more versatile.  Able to go 2 innings is a help to the flexibility of managing the pen.

The point is he gives you the detailed information that you need without clutter.
I know.  I was just giving ya a hard time.  Didn't communicate that effectively.  It's been a long day.  The radio guys do a great job.

Score runs.  I'm not comfortable with a 3-run lead tonight.

The Gobbler is good for that too. He's got the durable fatbody style.

Man this inning took forever.

Victor Garate imploded in Syracuse, blowing Martis' quality start.

You think Niese, a 23 year old lefty who had 5 solid starts last year, is trash?  His WHIP is a bit high (1.43) mostly due to a BABIP that is about .030 over league average.  That's the biggest negative I can find.  Do you have even the slightest bit of supporting evidence for that or is it right up there with the Jason Bay has been horrible nonsense?
I know it's only one game, but it's still funny.

4.2 innings tonight...7 hits, 3 walks, 4 K's, and 6 earned runs

Just popping in to say that Dave J is a great radio man and I love that he gives the scouting report on a reliever I've never heard of.

The Nationals' radio team has been praised for years by out-of-town fans of other teams.  Their pre-game show is usually informative.  They won't hesitate to interview players or broadcasters from the opponent, especially if a player just reached a milestone.

I just wish they'd include a time delay to match the TV broadcast.  If you're doing something while the game's on TV, it's easier to follow with the radio play-by-play sound.

Kennedy calling off Dunn on the pop up to first was hilarious, btw.

Why would we take Kennedy out instead of Luzman?

EDIT:  Leave Dunn at 1B and Kennedy at 2B and just bench the defensive albatross in those spots.

They didn't.  Kennedy took over for Dunn.
