Less than 8 hours to go!

What kind of characters are you planning on making in Skyrim?  I'm leaning toward my favorite class and going with some sort of mage variant.

I'd love to see what you guys think of it as well, wondering whether I should get it or not

Well, they eliminated classes, so...

Really that took a lot of the fun out of planning my character, even though I would have changed my mind on the character creation screen anyway.

Laughed at the Reddit post where the guy posted the "Wait" screen and had it set to 24 hours.

I don't agree with this.  Even in Oblivion, the class itself really meant nothing as it was the skills you buffed and trained that defined your character.  Furthermore, almost all of the pre-defined classes were terribly constructed, so you almost always ended up going the custom route anyway.  I think it's fine that they did away with the pretense this time around.

I get off at 12 and will be playing 12:30-4am at least, so I'll post some screen shots and what not to my steam account.  Chief can give a better opinion of it based on previous iterations of TES series than I can.

I think it will work out fine, it just takes the fun out of pondering how I'll create my character. With the current setup, it sounds like my first character will be dictated by what I find most fun as I'm playing.

Possibly.  I've been deliberately avoiding reading too much about the game so I can play it and form my own opinion, but I suspect you will still be given the option to buff/prioritize a few stats starting out, which would effectively be choosing your "class".  Then again, I could be wrong.  Guess we'll find out in a few hours :mg:

I've never played any of the prequels to this game yet those images look sick. I actually have no knowledge of this game at all.

Also, I'm surprised I haven't ran into you at all UMD. I mean, it would be kind of nerdy if I spotted you at a bar and said "Holy crap thats umdnats!".

You should get it.  I only played Oblivion a very little bit.  It still looks so awesome.  You can go anywhere on the map, any mountain you see way off in the distance?  You can walk all the way there and climb that nag.
