i'm ecstatic that he has been able to get out of the jams, one inning shy of a quality start 8)

but dude if that were cabrera you would be like freak this bum.  you really are az with some of your boys.
Crab never pitched out of jams like Martis did tonight.

I'd be hesitant to put him out for the 6th because I am afraid it will finally catch up to him. putting in one of the bum relievers probably would be just as risky.

Today would be his 49th game.

In other words, he would have gone hitless in a quarter of his games played.  Add to that he almost never walks.

...like a pitcher in the lineup

and having him and AK in the lineup at the same time is like having 2 pitchers in the lineup :spaz:

On this thread right now, only 13 members and 8 guests.  Before Nats took the lead, there were only about 7 regulars.  We've had games with 30 or 40.

I'm here :)  Although if they put Julian in I'm out, the last time he pitched at Yankee Stadium was a nightmare for the Red Sox :(

Figures.  For other teams that's a bloop hit.

If we don't count the games when he came in to PH it would make it 46 games and 9 hitless outings or about 20%. But he has had multi-hit games in 21 of those games or around 46%. We need to have our pitchers hit like that more often.   You have sportsfan convinced though.  :?  But I get what you're trying to say, I think.

Outstanding catch! I thought for sure it came out before I saw the replay.

Dunn really needs to bust his slump.  Regardless of what you think of him, he hasn't been playing up to spec lately.

AlGo is about the only hitter who seems to be somewhat hot at the moment.   Dunn is stone cold.

I didn't need stats dude, I just said he's been slumping

Besides, I looked up the same numbers to confirm my own suspicion before I even posted.

We are up 1 in the 6th but I still feel like there is a 75% chance we lose this game.

There's a much better than 75% chance we're going to lose this game.  I see a ball ricocheting off first base, this time.
