Are there any fans of Stammen (aside from chicks who think he's good looking)?

I think he'd make a great long relief/spot starter.

I was optimistic about him coming into the season, and he started off fairly well, but lately it's been getting hard to watch him.

It really seems like the Giants have been right on top of our pitchers in this series.  Uncannily so.

And the Giants have one of the worst scoring offenses in the league.

  I specifically said to discard that facet.   :icon_mrgreen:

Yep.  They look like they know exactly what pitches to look for.

I'm not that mad about Stammen. His tenure is going to be short lived

Stammen seems like one of those types of pitchers who's good the first one or two times through a lineup but really doesn't (or can't) adjust for the third time through.

Willingham.  The umbrella wrecker.  He's the anti-Mary Poppins.

Willingham.  The umbrella wrecker.  He's the anti-Mary Poppins.

1st   A Dunn homered to right.   1   0
1st   J Uribe singled to left, F Sanchez scored, A Huff to second.   1   1

2nd NICE HOME RUN SHOT BY HAMMER

2nd   J Maxwell safe at first on throwing error by third baseman P Sandoval, A Gonzalez scored, C Maldonado to third.

Nationals  3
giants             1

I'll admit, I like Stammen more than most.  I think he could be a 5th starter.  He has a 4.26 FIP and a 3.95 xFIP.

But, he's gotta turn those peripherals into success on the field, I admit.  I support him over Atilano
