Also, you gotta wonder if something's coming with Morse and Clippard/Storen, amirite?
What teams need power bats and relievers? Rays? Yanks? Sox? Cubs?
This is such an interesting move. Why pay $14 million for a closer when you have a young, cheap, very talented closer already on your roster? I'm not against this move though and I think this easily makes us the WS favorites.
Yeah, Morse and Clippard/Storen seems inevitable at this point, and it will bring back something nice and shiny.
Well, if we went for a stud starter, you could see Det in the deal, too.
Detwiler, Morse, Storen, and Espinosa for Price and McGee
Well, considering we have no place to play him anyway, makes sense we are the fans least interested in making fake proposals.
uh, does this team have any holes left?
They formally announced the signings of left-handed relievers Fernando Abad, Bill Bray and Brandon Mann, right-handed starter Ross Ohlendorf and infielder Will Rhymes to minor league deals with invitations to spring training. The team also announced the invitations to big league camp for minor leaguers, extending offers to left-handed reliever Pat McCoy, right-handed starter Tanner Roark, catcher Carlos Maldonado, first baseman/third baseman Matt Skole and infielder Zach Walters.
•Rays executive VP of baseball operations Andrew Friedman said he’s still looking to add a bat and, potentially, a reliever, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports (on Twitter). The Rays could also settle some arbitration cases before Friday’s deadline for exchanging figures with eligible players.Read more at http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/#oumji3urjzFffQwc.99
MLBTRSome say don't deal with the Rays because they need to "win" every deal. OK, so would this "win" for Friedman work for the Nats?Morse + Storen for McGee + Odorizzi?
That works for me but I bet they would try to add Lombo or Moore to the deal.
and then we'd be losing depth that we're counting on for 2013, so no.
