redding is over 100 pitches, why did they let him start the 6th?

100 isn't the limit at this point. It never should be, actually. Plus, he's pitched well.

He was comfortably under 100 to start the inning and got a one pitch out. He just crumbled after giving up the homer.

whew.. Quality start for Tim.  Every single blip by our pitchers is magnified because our offense is freaking worthless.

Again, it is not on the pitching.  Our offense is as bad as it has ever been.

QFT

He gave us a quality start (in my book a quality start should be 6 IP 2 ER in the NL). This one qualifies as a quality start.

Now that Manny left him in, Redding cant get the win (unless the Nats score a run in the bottom of the 5th, but what r the chances of that?)

That's definitelythe case. We should be up comfortably.

How do you know that St. Claire called for that pitch?
Maybe nyexpofan is Randy St Claire's ex-girlfriend.

I really would like us to score here so Redding can get win #4. It'd be nice to end up w/ a pitcher that has 10+ wins this season. (I know that's not the most important thing, but still. :D)

Check out the clown on the cell phone, probably asking his boss if he gets a bonus for flashing the SOLAR sign. :?

We're in the 6th inning.

He was saying it's now tied, so Redding can't get the win. As if the bp wouldn't have given up that run.

Milledge has been completely owned by Glavine tonight.

Milledge is frustrating as a mistake hitter.  When pitchers hang pitches up in the zone, Milledge seldom seems to be able to drive the ball like a solid hitter would.

now we got Kearns and Estrada - certainly must send chills down Glavine's back

yuck.  We let Glavine off the hook big time tonight. He gets a quality start but we should have knocked him out in the 3rd-4th inning after scoring 5-6 runs off him.
