How did those Phillies fans (Umps) get enough money together to buy those seats behind homeplate? :hammer:

I'm loving the weather in Centreville right now. So nice.

I'm a little up 28 and it looks like rain any minute.

This was schedule to be Strasburg's start anyone so Friday (at Los Angeles) was also scheduled to be his start.  Nothing is lost by starting him.

Question from a novice (kind of):    Is Lannan rusty or does he really stink?

Found this classic illustrating what some people were thinking/hoping our rotation would eventually look like.

QFT. A rotation of Crow-Strasburg-Lannan-Balester-Zimmermann (or a slew of other decent back end starters we have in our system) would be unbelievable.

When all you have is smoke and mirrors, there is some luck involved. If his pitch is off by even a fraction of an inch, it becomes hittable due to his inability to blow away hitters or trick them. It looks like midnight has arrived for John and he's turned back into a pumpkin.

They could also be members of the next Olympic Vomiting Team for the USA.

Week?
I'd be shocked if he's back before 3 weeks. That's a pretty serious injury for a baseball player and it's not like he can DH for them.

When Alberto Gonzalez got on, I literally in my mind was thinking we should bunt him to second with Nieves and then third with Lannan. We should have.

I notice the AA woman behind home plate left about 2 innings ago and hasn't come back.    That dude in the second seat in looks like he'd "ooze" all over your seat location.

Sprain

Crap - Ryan Howard's on my WNFF fantasy team and I really needed a home run from him today.  If they're not going to start Batista for Strasburg, might as well hit one.

Let's see if we can get another scoreless inning for Lannan.
