the fact that Texiaria, A-Rod, and Mauer are all multi dimensional players and two of them play positions harder to find great offensive players at. Also consider that Ryan Howard, Albert Pujols, and Adrian Gonzalez could be free agents the same season I really don't see how Fielder is going to get the money he wants. If he does get $200 million it is instantly the worst contract in baseball as he is also a conidate to suffer a breakdown sooner than the other players.

It is a Boras strategy. Start insanely high and then anything looks like a deal. Kind of like $50 million for Strasburg. I bet it isn't long before we hear about how Bryce Harper is worth double what Strasburg got.
