Nine, huh?  Gotta think they'll add another team or three to get to an even number, right?

they still look a few schools short- I wonder if they'll try to poach a few from the A-10

Butler is a bit odd as a member because it is not Catholic  ...

Diversity?

ECAC had some great basketball on Saturday afternoons.    Also remember the Davidson, WVU, etc.  Southern Conference.   Grew up watching  Duquesne, St. Bonaventure, Niagara, NYU, Iona, Holy Cross at the old Duquesne Gardens.

I'm a bit surprised Temple did not make the jump, but they are trying to stay D-1 in football and need hoops to sell the football program.

Is there a Cleveland school that would work?  I thought about St Louis, but I think they like the MVC.   Holy Cross could have a Seton Hall / Providence level program and would shore up New England.  Breaking the Catholic mold, Northeastern has a decent program, some tradition, and might be a good Boston anchor.

Edit- looking at Mitlen's post, Duquesne, Iona, and Fordham might be decent adds.

BU has the location to turn into a power if it was in the right conference. I would like to see another New York school- is CCNY allowed to play again? Fordham could also work

There's been a lot of talk around here whether or not Creighton might get an invite, but they're another 600 miles west of Indy.  Not sure if they'd want to add another school that far outside of the rest of the conference unless they added other schools between here and there.

I think Duquesne would be a nice addition.   I'm biased and  ....  Pitt is going to the ACC.   Nobody in Pittsburgh gives a crap about the ACC (mindfact).   Duquesne might be able to corral the (approximate) 6th largest market in the eastern states.   That's also why you need a Boston team.

WTOP was commenting on his post game act.   Looking forward to seeing Duke's low lights.

Northeastern was where Jim Calhoun took 2 teams to the Sweet 16 before he went to UConn.  Reggie Lewis's school.  They seem to be having a good year in the CAA.

BU was Rick Pitino's school before Providence, before the Knicks, before Kentucky, before the Celtics, before Louisville.

Good grief Duke gets every call.

Kelly has had an incredible game. Miami would have won this if he wasn't draining everything. Not sure why Kadji has given him so much space all night.

Everything we anticipated it would be, including the Duke calls from the refs.

No quit in this Miami team. Reggie has been in foul trouble the whole game and still toe to toe with Duke despite the calls and Kelly going off.

Good sports day. Caps win and Duke wins. UVA's not playing today so it can't be a 3-for-3 day.

Did Ryan Kelly play today? Couldn't tell by what Vitale was saying.

Wild finish in Waco!  Baylor was inbounding the ball under the KState hoop.  They threw it the length of the floor, out of bounds before anyone touched it.  KState got the ball back, with one second left, under their own hoop.  Inbounded to a wide open player and hit the three as time expired.  That was pretty crazy.

We don't all subscribe to the stupid little "bash all things Duke" fad. In my case, that's because I got my JD there.
