Idk about taking a linebacker.  I assume they plan to play him on the right???  So many other needs I kinda assumed that linebacker was our strongest position

the guys on 106.7 were split last night, praise for trading down to grab extra picks, realizing that the team has a lot of holes to fill vs. criticism for not addressing nose tackle first.

From what they said, Kerrigan was mentioned as a possible overall #1 a few weeks ago, but fell out of favor because scouts don't think he can play anything other than a 4-3.

I'm thinking that Kaepernick will be the guy.

I doubt that. I think they would've considered Locker but once he came off the board (Plus Julius Jones) they were willing to move back.

That's ridiculous if true. Someone already said on here that he will become a fan favorite. I don't know how they came to that conclusion but that doesn't make any freaking sense.  :?

I can has Jake Locker?
No... No I can't has Jake Locker... freaking Titans being smarter than any draft analyst out there.  Major props to the Redskins for not buying into the Gabbert hype and trading down.  I'm not sure about Kerrigan transitioning to rush linebacker.  I think Cameron Jordan was a better fit.  But I'm very happy that we gave Orakpo a pass rushing threat across from him to stave off some double teams.

So far these are the busts and bizarre-o picks:

Scam Newton
Jake Locker
Christian Ponder

Biggest douche of the draft belongs to the GM of the Bears for not pulling the trigger fast enough to get a great receiver via a trade with the Ravens.  I'm sure Jay Cutler is going to enjoy the half a second delay in not running for his life every snap instead of having a better receiver than Johnny Knox and Stonehands Hester.  FU Jerry Angelo.

I'm hoping Locker is filed under bizarre-o and not bust.

Yeah, mostly due to the fact he could have gotten picked later on, assuming the Vikings really wanted Christian Ponder.

Yeah I was really surprised the Titans took him.  A month ago I thought we had a good shot at him in Round 2.  So much for that.

I was really happy with Kerrigan. I'd have rather gotten Quinn, but Kerrigan was a great value pick. I'd like to see us add Rodney Hudson and Paea in the second but wouldn't be upset if we get Ryan Mallett and one of the other two. We need a receiver too, but I think that can be addressed eventually through FA.

That's not a bad pick late in the second round.

but wouldn't be upset if we get Ryan Mallett and one of the other two.

I think Kerrigan will at least be a decent player. We could always use that.

So whats our DLine look like?

So with our first second round pick we got Jarvis Jenkins, DT from Clemson. (their DE was still available)

Our second second round draft pick we traded our pick to the Colts and moved to 53 (not sure if we got anything else).

Now they traded with Chicago. Moved down to 62 and picked up a 4th rounder.

So now they still have the 62nd in the second rounder. Picked up 127th in the 4th. Have 3 picks in the 5th. A lone selection in the 6th. And 3 more in the 7th.

Good work by the FO. There's a lot of talent in middle rounds this year. Especially RB's, WR's, and offensive linemen.

It would have been nice if they could have picked up a third rounder somewhere.

Definitely hoping we get Mallett here.
