Okafor and Ariza look trrible. They are basically 2011 Jayson Werth. Paid a lot, not really worth all that much. They might bring some kind of leadership or character or whatever, but they look like crap on the court.
Just started watching another travesty of a game. Boston is up 11-2 only 3 minutes into the game.
I think Wizards fans are going to like Okafor a lot once Nene and Wall come back. He's a great screener and an above-average passer. It's just that we don't have a PG who can draw attention away from some of the other guys on the court right now. He still should be getting a lot more minutes than he has been because he's our best front court defender.
I'm definitely looking forward to a lineup of:WallBeal/CrawfordAriza/Vesley/SingletonOkafor/Booker/SeraphinNene/Seraphin/BookerPretty good group of guys right there. Definitely moving in the right direction.
what about Jan?things are improving, I still think the Ariza/Okafor trade was imbecilic, but at least the knuckle heads are gone
I have him Jan listed after Ariza before Singleton.
I think I would start him at least by the half way point- Ariza is what he is, at best a trade chip, but he wont be here when the team is competitive, might as well see what you have in Jan
Mike Brown gone ...
If they fire Eddie Jordan next I'd love to see the Wizards bring him back.
They're playing for lottery balls this year, at least the Princeton offense is entertaining, I'd like to see them run the Grinnell offense
I think the "Princeton offense" in it's current form is a tough fit with today's NBA game.
a shot every three seconds?
No one complain about not getting enough shots- if you're going to loose might as well put on a show
Paulball was boring and dumb. Give me the Knicks v. Heat games from the 90s with low scoring and hard hitting playground style defense.
It was working just fine here when we had our big three, before Arenas blew his knees out and was never again able to drive to the basket. Jordan was a fine coach, how he got let go and Grunfeld is still here I'll never figure out. Now that the band of idiots who somehow learned all of Arenas' stupidity and not a thing from Jamison and Butler are thankfully gone I'd be very happy to see what Jordan could do with this new batch of young guys.
