Just finished watching "Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory".  Very, very, very well done.  Some funny segments with Terry Hobbs (in particular his testimony against the Dixie Chicks) and John Mark Byers is his usual outspoken, hilarious self.

Saw "The Iron Lady." Meryl Streep is amazing, of course, and Jim Broadbent is great too, but if I had to summarize the film in one word, it would be "irritating." All the actual history/politics are shoehorned into voiceovers and montages, and the director has a stupid fetish for having characters on screen be tight-lipped and silent while they say things on the sound track. Oh, and the flashbacks were handled awfully. She is in her living room... sees a statue with a soldier on it... boom! Flashback to the Falkland War. Give me a break.

Finally saw The Descendants. Not a bad flick but not particularly Oscar Worthy.

Also saw Midnight in Paris. Pretty interesting flick and a change of pace for Owen Wilson but not exactly my cup of tea.

Also saw Horrible bosses, some pretty funny mindless comedy. Gotta love Bateman and Sudeikis. The third guy was annoying.

Friends with Benefits was decent. Kunis and Timberlake had good chemistry.

Charlie Day is who you're referring to and thats a shame then. I wouldn't recommend watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia since he's pretty much the same character in that.

To each their own. I wouldn't suggest skipping it entirely since his character is perfect for It's Always Sunny and he plays off well with the other characters. It was more a fair warning. If you like comedy and Seinfeld-esque characters, then Sunny would be worth trying.

Drive

Fantastic.

Oh yeah, that was probably my favorite film from last year.  Albert Brooks was awesome.

Saw a couple of documentaries:

There's something wrong with Aunt Diane - reviews the 2009 Taconic Parkway crash where some donk drove the wrong way at 70 MPH before hitting another car head on killing herself and six other people.  Very well done but might contain some of the most idiotic comments and theories I've heard in a long time.

Superheroes - interviews some real life "superheroes".  Very well done but by the end I wanted all of these donks waterboreded in Gitmo.

Cool flick, really weird but I enjoyed it. Didn't get as much pub as it should have.

Drive was so overrated and I like Gosling, Cranston, Perlman too. Glad it didn't get nominated for Best Picture. It could have been a lot better.

The trailer makes it look like a pretty good action flick.

Half of it is, the other half is a lot of still shots, and quiet moments.

Definitely sounds like my kind of movie.

if you like Tinker, Tailer, you should see The Spy Who Came in From the Cold, it's old (1965), but based on the best spy novel ever written (at least according to me)

Yeah. It wasn't too good. It's scary to think of something like that but it wasn't that great.

Good to know. Liam Neeson is awesome. The Edge is awesome. Those two together seem like a good thing.
