Hammer is not a free agent until after next year

But by not mentioning him it implies that he's not in "The Plan".

He was talking about Sept. callups.

I recall him talking about 2011-2012 too.

Let's see who has been bad so far tonight:

Dunn's defense, Gonzalez's defense, Pudge's defense, Pudge's offense, Olsen's pitching.

Yeah he was segueing by talking about a youth infusion. That's a good point.

Olsen has not pitched bad at all. Giving up a homer to Pujols doesn't count IMO.

But by talking about the young guys and not mentioning Dunn/Willingham is also bad news. Id rather have solid hitters in a lineup than another young core who has to work their way up.

Imagine 5 Desmonds in a lineup. Slow at the start, strong at the finish.

1-3 you are right on. Homer to Pujols at that.

Error to the pitcher. Walk to the jay.

Reminds me of the D-Backs, which is exactly who they want to be compared to.

it was a hit then error (or at least it should've been) and then i believe it was jay who got the 2nd run in.

and add zimmerman to the list of having a crappy night.

It was a ground ball to Dunn who bobbled it, dropped it, then threw it to terribly to Olsen.

The hit you are right about. I was thinking about the walk to Craig.

i don't know what the official ruling was, but even carpy said it should be a hit and error.

Either way, it was a routine grounder that should've been scooped up and soft-tossed to Olsen. I'm just giving Olsen a break here since he hasn't been horrible tonight.

I think Molina said fastball, but Garcia threw a curveball.

Wait, only Hanrahan would do that?

is it just me or does this team look like they've given up after hearing the news?  you would think after last night's win, this team would be playing with more fire tonight.

Did they mention when/if Dibble would be coming back?
