Hill, who hasn't pitched in the Majors yet this season because of tightness
in his right forearm, is hoping to make his first appearance. He pitched six
innings for Triple-A Columbus on Sunday and gave up six runs (five earned)
on nine hits against Charlotte. Hill was cruising the first three innings, but
he then gave up a combined six runs in the fourth and fifth innings.

Now with two big league appearances and one start under his belt, Badenhop
will make his first home start. The 25-year-old right-hander will face the
Nationals -- the team he debuted against on April 9, when he tossed a
scoreless ninth. In his start in Houston, Badenhop worked into the sixth
inning, but he didn't record an out. So in five-plus frames, he was credited
with four runs on seven hits. Badenhop was victimized by the long ball,
giving up two homers. Still, he showed signs that he could be a welcomed
addition to the rotation.

Unfortunately I'll be at the 1st Seder at my brother's, so won't be able to watch. :( Boy am I up for tonight's game. Been a while since I've felt this positive anticipation before a game; I definitely could get used to it. :) Just had Mom's 88th birthday party the other night; I've been in a partying mood. :icon_mrgreen: See you all later.

Happy Pesach. :)  I'm also missing the game because of a Seder.  I'll try to get updates though.  Really curious about how Hill does.

Are there limitations that anyone knows about on Hill tonight? I'm guessing he's probably on a 70-80 PC.

Well that's awesome! They must feel like he's close to 100% then.

He's still got a little arm discomfort but unless it gets worse it should not be a problem.  Hopefully Hill can give us 6-7 solid innings and have little pain in the upcoming days.

Estrada's interviewed by Debbi Taylor. A complete mediocrity fest.

Byron Kerr or Phil Wood? Both are decent.

Must be Phil Wood. The more he talked, the more I liked him. Strange look for TV, though.

I know you are trying to be sarcastic, but for some reason I seriously believe this anyway.

What's this weird feeling? Oh. It's optimism. I gotta keep that in check. Plus there was that hockey thing today...

Don't get too excited about Shawn Hill, guys ...

But on the other hand, I think we'll probably win.  :)

It is very important that we play good defense behind Shawn tonight. He is going to induce a lot of groundballs and line drives.
