i won't say anything NEGATIVELY about bernadina for the rockies series?  if i do, i won't post until the homestand next week ... DEAL?

fwiw, i texted SF and said :whip: bernie took a dump today - 2 homers and a single and web gem

:lmao: I don't give a crap, I'm just giving you a hard time.  But really, you dumped on Bernadina way too much.  This game is a fluke, but he's barely been given enough time to show his worth.

Bernie and Maxwell are late blooming, legit prospects. Everyone settle down, this team is good.

Think his GF will undue the handcuffs long enough for him to respond?

Hooray, we might see a Debbi Taylor interview with Bernadina "How does it feel to play baseball?"

Kapps!

Wow, I got home just in time to see Bernie take K-Rod deep.  And he had another HR earlier!?!  What?  When I said he needed a few more at-bats to adjust, I wasn't expecting anything like this.  Hopefully he can keep it up!

Didn't he show some power in the minors? I am still not a believer but he hit two homers in Citi field. Maybe his adjustment period came before the hot period.

I doubt anything will erupt from this but imagine if we found a guy who could take balls yard and have speed. (crawford :az: )

I'll need more convincing with both of them.  ESPECIALLY Maxwell, who really has a crappy-looking swing right now.

But their defense and speed makes them both both potentially useful if they can just start hitting for contact.

honestly ... much like the scott olsen almost no-hitter game, being undefeated when i wear the desmond jersey and pulling out $61 when hernandez started off the 10-game homestand ... i forgot i brought my california tortilla napkins to work today ... i took them out right when bernadina came up ... BOOM!

i think we're undefeated when i use cal tor napkins no joke!!!

You've only seen Maxwell in the old, pre-glasses era.  Now that he's got his vision corrected.......

He showed power in that he had a decent SLG%, but it was mostly from doubles/triples.  Idk if he really crushed those doubles or if he was just able to stretch a lot of base hits.
