I wonder when they're going to have one of those PLAYERS ONLY meetings?

thank god it's over.

go padres.

We need them to win bad. Would hate lead to drop to 4 games.

And then tomorrow we have Ross vs Jacob Turner. Complete toss-up. Turner is only 21 but is a decent prospect and will probably pitch well. Ross, well who the hell knows.

#Nationals have lost 5 straight, scoring 2 runs or fewer in each game, for the 1st time since 2008. They were 30 games under .500 back then

Not good company, with the '08 team.

This was one of the worst games I've seen in a long time.  This team looks so out of sorts it's frightening.  It looks like an entirely different team from the one I saw in person against the Braves only one short week ago.  When does this losing streak end and what does a manager do to get the team out of its funk?  I suppose it's unrealistic to think the magical season we were all witnessing would continue but this losing streak with defensive errors, poor base-running, lack of an offense and ace pitchers falling apart is downright worrisome. :bang: :spaz:  :hang:  :nervous: :smh:  :asplode:

THIS DAY WITH THE '05 OVERACHIEVERS: a second straight clean-sheeting at home by the Cardinals, by the same 6-nil score...record now 67-63...http://espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=250828120.

It's over. This was all a lovely dream but we've woken up now...they've finally cracked under the pennant-race pressure.
