They had to pay him but that doesn't mean he shouldn't get crap for underperforming. Where is the .300 BA, 30 HR, 100 RBI Zimmerman at? We could use that guy badly.

He's only done those things once (twice for RBI's) and never all in one season so that player exists only in your fanboi mind.

I seem to recall Dunn hitting mostly solo shots in non-critical moments (mind fact)

Definitely mindfact.  I looked this up once before when he was still playing here (or shortly after he left).  My memory's hazy but my research basically showed that he was not significantly better or worse at hitting bombs with guys on vs bases empty compared to "the usual".

At this point may as well let awful ass Gorzelanny throw the rest of the game. No point in using anybody else, maybe Perry if Davey is feeling frisky.

Babe in the red top turned into a fat dude in a blue shirt.   It's one of those kind of days.

Strasburg gave up 6 earned runs to the Marlins in August 2010.  This is the second worst outing of his career in that respect.

Only 8 innings are played during day games.

Gotta be one of Bass' best starts in the Majors. How pathetic. Bad pitching today for the Nats but we still should have scored 4-5 runs.

Yep, whenever the Nats are in the position for a sweep, they just bend over for the opposing team.  Atlanta can sweep the freaking world champion Cardinals, and we can't even take two from the lowly Padres...

Saving the sweep for the postseason.

Saving the sweep for the postseason.

We "should" have at least 5 more wins.

Time for Lombo to step up then.

When he made the swing before the groundout, he paused and reached for his hamstring.
