well, we are due for one of these guys to pitch well. We have gone through like 15 relievers this year and not one of them has been worth a damn.

Bergmann's been okay, but I hear ya otherwise.

Villone's been money. A lot of teams are going to asking about him at the trade deadline.

It's not just the Fish, every team other than the Braves does significantly better when goig up against a St. Claire squad.  Going into today's games:

The St. Claire Factor:

        ------- Vs Nats -------      ---- Vs All Others ---
Team    Runs/Gm      BA     OPS      Run/Gm      BA     OPS
PHL        7.00    .314    .919        5.11    .249    .775
FLA        7.50    .279    .898        4.12    .239    .673
NYM        5.17    .295    .837        4.80    .281    .774
PIT        6.50    .248    .730        4.09    .263    .725
ATL        4.17    .285    .808        4.38    .257    .713

STL        5.33    .230    .754        4.51    .255    .742
ARI        5.00    .330    .875        4.26    .235    .712

I agree. Bergmann is our best reliever right now. Clippard really needs to be up here. I understand they want to get him fully acclimated to the BP role but he is wasting away down there right now. We could use him.

Well, can you think of any other bullpen callup who's performed adequately, excepting Villone?

Either one would suffice. Wells should be in that discussion too

freaking horrible. just horrible.

I cannot take any more of this. Acta has to be fired. Someone must be held accountable.

When you watch this team, what bad thing is going to happen?  How are they going to screw themselves tonight?

It's always something.

We worked so hard to get the game close again and then he botches a routine ground ball to make the game a laugher again.

Acta has to go to let the players know that this is unacceptable in the Majors. freak favorites and all that other bullcrap. Get rid of Acta and make the players earn their stripes all over again.
