I think Goose Island selling to Anheuser-Busch may be one of the best things for good beers in supermarkets- I've really been loving their stuff lately, and it seems like it's available everywhere. Their Christmas Ale tastes like the best home brew I've ever had. So long as bud doesn't mess with the beer, this seems like a total win

once the quality dips, I'll move on, but I don't see why they'd buy them then ruin the beer

Finding ways to make it cheaper so they have a larger profit margin.

Three stars brewing in takoma is legit. They seem to be focusing on high octane stuff. Their porter and variations on it are great. Tasty, drinkable. Strong. The bourbon barrel porter is great. the regular version is really good too. Both 9-10%. Not as harsh as brooklyn. Recommend a trip. Growler hours on saturdays

Tried Anchor's Christmas Ale tonight. It's got a ginger kick too it, pairs absurdly well with those giant tins of Swedish ginger snaps.

Thirsty Dog Brewing creates 'Mayan Last Dog' beer in honor of Maya end-of-the-world calendar

AKRON, Ohio - If the ancient Mayan calendar is true, the world will end this Friday. The folks at Thirsty Dog Brewing Company in Akron came up with a beer in honor of the occasion.  "Mayan Last Dog" is a chocolate stout made with Maya spices including chocolate nibs and honey. John Najeway, owner of Thirsty Dog Brewing Company, said they made a limited amount of the beer that went on sale last week.

The end-of-the-world beer is sold as a four-pack of bottles in some stores or on draft at the brewery's tasting room on Grant Street in Akron, OH. Najeway said he has a great response to the beer. "If we get through the end of the world, I think we will have the rise of the Mayans and continue to brew this beer," said Najeway.

If you drink any beer brewed in Akron, it will be the end of your world.

Live in Ft. Worth and just tried Rahr and Sons... Ugly Pug was delicious. Finally taking a tour of their brewery tomorrow.

Also tried Sierra Nevada's Kellerweis, a Hefeweizen. Very tasty too -- and I got some cool Untappd badges haha.
