Screw Padilla - Dunn should have gotten the start.  Riggleman, don't let the door hit you.

Quote
Just to answer the questions about Dunn's off day: Yes, Dunn requested the day off. Jim Riggleman gave him the option to play, but Dunn didn't feel the need -- even within two homers of the 40 milestone. "I'm accommodating him," Riggleman said. "If he wanted to play today he'd be in there. But he's -- you know, I think it's somewhat of a statement by Adam that it's not about his numbers. He knows there's guys here, the Padillas and Morses of the world, who have been working their tails off also who never get a chance to play in a ballgame."

Definitely this. Probably Padilla's last start of his career. Morse is a part of the future of the team.

Dunn's attitude is certainly a plus for the team as well.

Plus, how about that Clippard - the man has been on fire.

wtf?  you respond to me giving Padilla props and want to fire Riggleman over it?  But if AD takes the day off for the 'Padilla's of the world' you give AD props?

If it was the manager's decision, he's an idiot.

If it was Dunn's decision, he's humble. The 10 million player who hit his ass off and changed positions without a word gets to decide what he does for the last game.

Padilla has earned nothing and done nothing with the chances he's gotten.

Adam Dunn is a great guy. If it weren't for John Lannan, he'd be my favorite National.

If he were from the DR, he'd say he was 13 but really be 23, rather than vice versa.

That's funny, because not so many months ago you wanted him to hit your weak balls.

Clippard with a great end of the season. He'll be a big time part of the pen next year.

Come on boys, lets finish out the season on this win streak!

If he keeps pitching like today, bring him back.  But I don't know about Carpenter's comment of well done in 09

Man, if Villone pitches a scoreless inning, bet they bring him back next year :bang:

very fitting that sportsfan's kliq has sucked today ... wil nieves and alberto gonzalez better not be on this team next year or we're heading for another 100 loss season.   :whip:

Gonzalez scored our only run, so why are you so down on him today ?
