Odalis Perez still hasn't reached the pitch count of the Braves starter, who didn't make it out of the fourth inning.

Belliard is such a money hitter. He is a very valuable asset to this team.

Why is Spiegner starting? Columbus is short on starting pitchers with Tankersly & O'Connor on the DL. They are trying to get by with only 4 days left in the season so they don't have to move players around. At this time of year it would be a logistical nightmare. Tonight the Bullpen is going to take one for the team.
Thanks for the info.

Looks like it worked out for Columbus. 4 Relievers (Speigner, Warden, Wagner, Sanches) combined to pitch a 5-hit shutout.

What a veteran play by Perez. Belliard makes a great stop but Mr. Perez is nowhere near 1B.

Get that bum's ass out of there, pronto. What should have been an easy inning turns into a potential disaster.

A run would have scored on that play and then the guy on deck could have further prolonged the inning. It could have snowballed. That play was huge.

If that's not the #1 web gem of the day that's effed up.

He was fully stretched out parallel to the ground. Unreal. Unquestionably the best defensive third baseman in the game.

Looks like I'm not the only one in the uncomfortable position of agreeing entirely with AZ on something.

Sickening crap going down in Miami, Florida.

The Fish were up 2-1 over the Mets in the top of the 9th and Kevin Gregg comes in. He got 2 quick outs and then gave up 2 singles and hit a batter to load the bases. Then Beltran came up and hit a grand slam. The Florida announcers are ripping Gregg to pieces and said that he should never pitch in the 9th inning ever again.

We need him to become the best OFFENSIVE third baseman. That'd be better. I'd trade one for the other in a second.

Rivera walks too many for my liking. It doesn't make sense. He is nasty against lefties. Makes no sense walking them like he does.

That's not out of the question. I definitely think he'll be in the Top 5 eventually.
