At least I didn't mention Rubber Ducky!

Just remember, you've got to put down the ducky if you want to play the saxaphone.

Did anyone else catch the Pogues when they were here at the 9:30?

Shane MacGowan's still alive? What's he on, his third or forth liver?

Now that, sir, is a classic.

Shane looks a bit jaundiced and is probably physiologically like a pate goose, but he can still growl and snarl the songs while the band belts out the music.  They have played twice (right around St Paddy's day) over the past three years.

Is he back with the band?

Yep, it's the original lineup.  The last time I had seen the Pogues with Shane was opening for U2 at Foxboro in 1987...which is to say that I had the ticket stub in my pocket the next day, and could only find one of my boots.

I saw them sometime in the late eighties but I can't remember when or where. About the only show I can clearly remember was seeing the Clash at the Ontario.

I know about the Sinatra channel. That's been my most listened to recently since the disappearance of old school hip hop. Might wear off though.

However, it is one of the very few channels that is NOT on the direcTV XM lineup. I dont know how. I would think it would be popular.

When I mentioned the possibility of it to my grandma she was like "ehhh I dont like him that much anyway". Go figure

Interesting fact about Bob Marley: his mother was a black Jamaican, his father was a white Jamaican.

I found a classical CD at the used book shop which has a picture of the Castle Aaaaarrrrgghhh (from Monty Python) on the front cover. Listening now; the music is ok, but who cares when the cover is so awesome?!

Anthrax - "Safe Home" - it's stunning that they could put out such a great album ("We've Come for you All") after all the band losses and so many years between albums (*cough* G'N'R *cough*)

If Sharon Osbourne wasn't hideously awful, Anthrax would have toured with both John Bush (best hard rock vocals of all time) and Joey Belladonna on Ozzfest

Are there any bands out there that sound similar to The Strokes? I really like their style. I've only listened to their first album, though.

Here's a live performance of "Last Nite":

Very cool.

The new Light This City album. Talk about girl power. I wouldn't mess with her

When I finish my current project and can calm down a bit, I'll probably get the new Cure album and chill out.
