Forget about AAA.  There are independent leaguers who could hit better than Matt Stairs.

Marlins station, meanwhile, is running an ad for Las Vegas..."playing host to the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP of PING-PONG!" It's "unprecented!!"

i just don't get it ... so many other MAJOR LEAGUE teams that get a leadoff guy on 2B, then moved over to 3B can get that run in.

D'angelo Jimenez was a better pinch hitter than Matt Stairs....

I don't know why this front office isn't PUBLICLY furious about what they've gotten from Matt Stairs.  I couldn't contain myself, if I was in the front office.

ZNN pitched well enough to win. You can't hang this on him.

Yikes! Miami is a bush-league town. (old saying around my elementary school: "Baltimore is a bush-league town").

Evidence: the broadcast switches to the Marlins' equivalent of Debbi T, who has a two-minute interview with the Marlins' official pachanga band. Clippard, meanwhile is working away.

Kilgore just tweeted that it looks like Ankiel is heading for the DL, they took Bernie out of the game in Syracuse in the 4th, I assume to send him to Miami?

Or they could just be getting rid of Matt Stairs.
