Right call and now we get the better hitting catcher.

They realize these games are meaningless to the Nats, so they need to help the Braves any way they can.

What a BS call by the 3rd base umpire.

Just told my brother that - that umpire needs to be suspended.

That "crowd" looks like a Marlins home game.

The era of unbiased umpires is over. I kind of wish each league had their own umpires again...maybe it was just a coincidence, but games were called much better back then.

First game thread I've ever entered and I just wanted to say awesome job hammondsnats, the opening post is really nice and neat.

Can't catch the game tonight, just wanted to throw that out there. Go Nats!

Thanks bud.  Go nats.

And their team is 20 games over .500 and has a 2.5 game lead in the NL East.
If the Nats had that record, I would expect 30+K every game

Pa ... I'm not saying lannan will or won't be in rotation in 2013, but if he is its not the end of the world.  The last two years he has been a serviceable pitcher and since being recalled he has been decent.

I'm too lazy to look up morse's splits as a starter this year ... they can't be great (compared to his pinch hitting numbers)

Since August 1st, Morse is 5-44 (.114). Almost all of those ABs have to be starts.

Zimmerman better win the gold glove again this season. He should win the silver slugger again as well.

Yep. It made sense to give him a chance to be a starter, but he has failed.

Thanks and yeah most are.  Pathetic.  That's why we need crawford.
