Jesus its that Nationals baseball movie all over again. Literally.

my point is that Reese Witherspoon is not remotely hot enough to be fighting over.

Yeah I got that. I'm just surprised that its the exact same situation that Reese is in but a different setting with two different actors.

Seems like they're trying too hard to recycle the "Mr & Mrs Smith" formula - action/chick-flick mashup that appeals to couples - but I don't see that working here.  Brad Pitt + Angelina Jolie is one thing.  I don't think the formula translates with two relatively unknown actors swordfighting over an over-the-hill actress that was never really that hot anyway.

We saw the movie Tower Heist last night, the movie with Alan Alda, Ben Stiller, and Eddie Murphy.  It was REALLY GOOD.  We rated it an 8 and 9.

Yeah? I read it was silly, but better than expected and that Eddie was great in it.

Watched Raw the other night for the first time in a good while. Damn Eddie Murphy was funny back in the day.

His opener on that tour, Paul Mooney, blew him off the stage.

Mooney is pretty funny, but I'm not a big fan of his.

A top 10 list of stoner movies.

Yes, Up in Smoke, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Big Lebowski, and Dazed and Confused make the list, along with 2 harold and kumars, Pineapple Express, and Friday.

So disappointed to hear J. Edgar not getting good reviews.

Apparently Eastwood goes easy on the subject matter and the only redeeming thing about the movie is Leo's performance.

Unh? The only two reviews I've seen - Ebert and the New Yorker - thought the movie was absolutely outstanding. New Yorker called it one of the most "withering" portraits of self-denial ever made.

Now (having been a film critic in college) I REALLY want to see it.

I've seen mixed reviews on it too, and most saying it's nothing outstanding or anything.

If the studio thought it was any good, it would have more advertising/marketing and a better release date

Ha. That's pretty much how I picked my movies when I was the newspaper reviewer in college... pick the movie everyone hates, report on that.

That worked sometimes, but people still give me crap for how much I hated Gran Torino.

Oddly enough, my lowest rated movie review was of Miami Vice.

I HATED that movie.

I gave 1 star to "Fanboys," that movie where Star Wars fans break into Skywalker Ranch to see Phantom Menace before anybody else. Never gave 0.5 or 0, as far as I can remember.
