No, that's not what I'm saying at all.  I'm asking if he's had any success at the top of the order.  It seems to me as though the times he did early in the season, he didn't do well.  He's seemingly much more comfortable now, so maybe the couple games he's getting in the 2 spot is his try out for the leadoff.  That's what I'm saying.

Morgan's actually been getting on base much more the past couple of weeks.  That's a pretty big difference between him and Nieves.

Desmond should be back in the line-up today, imo, but I'm not going to root against AlGO or anything.  Hope he helps out the Nats to another win tonight.

the last time Bernadina batted first was 2009, and that was only for 6 games.  Right now it feels like Riggleman has it in his head that Morgan is a lead off hitter and that's where he has to hit, when he's actually a pretty crappy hitter

i want to see Morgan lead off with a single, then keep his foot on the base without taking any lead.

If the beat writers ask him, there is a better chance we get a legit answer or that their is enough pressure that the team eventually ends the Morgan experiment.

Well Ben did and Boswell wrote a column that caused Riggleman to hold a meeting, and you refuse to ask, so that's the end of that.

They tried to sell the viewers on how he hasn't come close to tapping into his full potential. Knight said that the only weakness he has is he has no arm.

Did you see the piece where he is out in CF, miked, and he's talking about sending a shout out to Johnny Holliday from T Plush?

No, missed it. Wasn't sitting and watching it, just passed by when the piece came on and stopped to listen. Ray and Johnny were more low key about Nyjer, but Debbi made a few comments in her piece essentially raving about him if memory serves. Of course, given the source, not exactly something that should come as a shock.

Good to see that Nyjer didn't stop being dumbass. I was worried that he was going to start playing intelligent soon. Don't have to worry about that now.

morgan has to be hitting about .100 when he tries to bunt for a hit.

Something I found about Jurrjens rehab starts:

Quote
Jair Jurrjens is trying (emphasis on trying) to rehab his injured hamstring in Gwinnett with the Braves Triple-A affiliate.

In his three rehab starts Jurrjens has surrendered 8 earned runs, 20 hits and 6 walks in just 13 innings of work.

YIKES.

As discouraging as those numbers are in regards to the likelihood of Jurrjens making a triumphant return to the Braves starting rotation, his comments regarding his return to the big club are even more puzzling.

In a recent interview with the AJC:

I hope this was enough for the big team...I hope the next start's gonna be in the bigs.
Are you serious?

You had one more strikeout (9) than runs allowed ( 8 ) and minor league batters hit .357 against you, are you sure you're ready to rejoin the rotation?

...

Let's hope we can do as well as AAA hitters!

From Curacao. Braves acquired him from the Tigers along with a minor league OF for Edgar Renteria.

Thanks Braves.   I Googled it and found that but appreciate the follow up.

Has he ever bunted to the right side of the infield? I can't recall it right now.

I don't think he can.  I don't think he's physically capable of doing it, honestly.
