I don't know who has a worse idea of the strike zone, Laz Diaz (home plate umpire) or the Nats hitters. Anyways, decent job by Redding and just a shamefully pitiful job by the offense once again.  Dmitri saved their no-hitting asses last night but even him and Ronnie couldn't carry them to a win tonight.  I never imagined that a Major League offense could be this bad but then again nothing surprises me with this team.

(Image removed from quote.) I don't know who has a worse idea of the strike zone, Laz Diaz (home plate umpire) or the Nats hitters. Diaz is one of the most frustrating umps around.  The only thing consistent about his strike zone is that is consistently changes pitch-to-pitch.  You remember the ump in the 1997 NCLS that handed Livan the MVP?  I think his name was Gregg.  Diaz is the one who replaced him, and it was a downgrade.
