Am I the only one who wished the NL would adopt a DH?

It's painful watching pitchers bat, I just don't get it..
I despise the DH. I would have a seriously hard time following an AL team. The DH ruins the strategy of baseball that I enjoy so much.

You get no thrills from double switches? :)
I honestly don't see the point in having a pitcher bat, especially when they get on base.. .150% of the time? I guess it's stupid to have a player bat and not be a liability on defense, but it's just annoying watching pitchers bat.

Personally, I find it hilarious

Plus, ideally the number 7 or 8 guy would get on base with less than 2 outs so the pitcher can bunt them over.

Watch pitchers who can bunt and advance base runners. Watch the rare pitchers like Livo who actually can hit. Watch the double switches (granted we get sick of them). Watch the bench and who PH's and who gets to be a PR and when. The game loses a lot if you put a DH in there.

I just wish pitchers could hit. They should take batting practice with everyone else... every day.

This. I know they are fragile and everything, but it would seem to me that learning to hit would make you a better pitcher.

I just noticed Nyjer's undershirt is all tore up. Is he wearing the same shirt he was wearing when he punched Volstad? It's like a trophy to him.

Maybe I'm just being negative, but I think Bernadina would have had that.

This happens of course after they extend Livo. It looks like his clock has struck midnight finally.

I think he simply plays the wall better.  Can jump a bit higher.

If you are Livo and you aren't hitting your spots, you aren't much.

It's so funny how aggresively the ump was signaling strikeouts for Strasburg.

5th   G Jones doubled to deep center, J Tabata scored, N Walker to third.   1   5
5th   P Alvarez doubled to deep right, N Walker and G Jones scored.

Nationals 1
Pirates     7

Let this be a lesson: don't re-sign Livan while the losing season is still ongoing.
