Yeah Guz!
Let's hope that's all the run support Lannan needs...

I think it's the bullpen we'll have to worry about this game...

Wow, these guys play together, slump together, get injured together...

Maybe they are finally getting tired of playing like crap too so they just want to sit this season out.

Dukes looks like he could be a killer hitter. only problem is that he doesnt know how to hit

That sounds about right. Foolishly, I keep expecting a homer every time he comes up. :?

Good hit by Nieves but then Lopez pops out on 2 pitches.

Lannan and our relievers will have to be perfect to win.

I think we'll get one more homer, but it'll probably be another solo shot.

Columbus gave up 7 HRs and 10 runs in a 10-0 loss today. Larry Broadway had to pitch the 9th.

  That's the second time he's pitched this season. Did he get hit?

I can't decide who's worse between Jones and Milledge. They are both complete train wrecks.

Nope, pitched a perfect inning and even recorded a K.

Poor Balester gave up 4 HRs in 5 innings.

I know you want him up here over some of the older guys, but giving up that many homers at this level would drive people CRAZY.

I guess that pretty much settles he isn't MLB ready.

It would drive sportsfan crazy and lead him to pronounce Balester a career minor leaguer

Just a centimeter higher on that ball and Zimmerman would have crushed it.

6 IP 1 ER for Guthrie

He should be able to go 7 or maybe 8 considering he has only thrown 82 pitches.

Balester is not ready yet, no doubt. Mock is closer. VanAllen is who I want to see although he is pitching in AA.

Van Allen should not even be considered until some time next season.

Why? He is doing the same thing Lannan did last year. VanAllen might even be more dominant that Lannan was last year in his tear through the minors. 6-0 1.18 ERA in A+AA

prob with the Nats, if Lannan gives up a hit, he's in big trouble
