Morse looks awful

We need to start a thread about sending him down to learn better manners.

That's how I feel about baseball. I think it's a bigger accomplishment to have the best record in the league during the regular season than winning the WS. Winning the postseason tournament is great, but being #1 in the league over a 162 game season is greater.

I know that most people don't agree with me.

I agree with your premise, but winning a WC spot in baseball actually means something; football teams frequently back into the playoffs and get lucky.

Can't wait to hear a packed house do that. It's probably already happened, but I haven't heard it yet.

Playoffs.

Poor Corey Brown not getting an AB.

Also, notice how Perez hasn't seen the field since he stole with a red light. Davey sending a message.

Not sure what FP was trying to say there.

I think that Kaline was the nearest to being a teen when accomplishing the feat.

Yes, that is what FP meant.    I knew that.  But his mangled English is a pain to listen to.

I recorded a video of it for tonight. I just love how loud it was. It doesn't even seem like that big of a crowd. I've been to bigger games and it hasn't been this loud. I haven't seen a packed house do it either so this was pretty awesome. A playoff crowd should be loud as hell.

braves-nation.com has white flagged the division and focused on the WC at this point.  Nary a mention of the Nats.

I was just about to post the same thing.  I read an article in the AJC a day or two ago that pretty much says their goal is the wild card.

I just noticed Espinosa is almost at the .260 plateau. I expect even greater things next year.

Putin Alert -- From the UK Telegraph:

After shooting a tiger with a tranquilliser dart and fixing an electronic tracker to a polar bear, Vladimir Putin is to undertake his latest animal stunt by flying in a motorised hang glider with a flock of rare Siberian cranes.

We need the pictures!

So Nats need 1 more homer to tie the all time 2 consecutive game record.

They're not going to get it.  Losers.

Didn't Desmond do this last September. I think they're the same player. I've been saying it this whole year.

Desmond's first stint was good, then his sophmore year was butt, then his junior year he was hot.

Espinosa could do the same thing!
